2: Wellington’s Old Contemptibles of 1914
What if the British Regular Army that went to France in August and
September 1914 was the same one that existed in 1815? Here’s
what the ‘Old Contemptibles’ looked like if re-clad as
their Wellingtonian counterparts.
On paper, it looks remarkably similar in size and composition to the
Duke’s armies of 1814 and 1815. But what, no Light Division?
And what His Grace would have given for all that artillery!!!
